Steve wrote to the Home Secretary to raise serious concerns about the proposed closure of Torquay Police's Station's custody suite. Thankfully, the Devon and Cornwall Police U-turned on the move and agreed not to close any of its six custody suites, including in Torquay for the foreseeable future. 

Steve said he was ‘absolutely delighted’ the service would be retained in Torquay. He is now campaigning for more investment into the Torbay Area including more firearms and road officers and has pressed the Government for this investment.
