Sign Steve's Open Letter to the Health Secretary

An Open Letter to the Secretary of State for Health, Rt. Hon Wes Streeting MP Dear Secretary of State, We are writing to invite you to visit Torbay Hospital and see for yourself the condition of the estate and the challenges facing our local health services. Torbay Hospital is at a critical point. The situation is dire, and unless urgent action is taken, the consequences for patient care and staff morale will be severe. We urge you to come and witness firsthand why Torbay must be protected from any plans to move cardiac care away from the hospital, along with all other acute services. By visiting, you will understand the reality on the ground and why the decision to delay the crucial £350 million rebuild must be reversed. This investment is not a luxury; it is essential to ensure safe, modern, and effective care for the people of Torbay and the wider South Devon area. We have waited long enough. The hospital estate is deteriorating, and the pressure on services is growing. The people of Torbay deserve better, and so do the dedicated NHS staff who work tirelessly in increasingly difficult conditions. We, the undersigned, call on you to visit Torbay Hospital without delay. See the situation for yourself and understand why urgent support is needed now – not later. Yours sincerely, Steve Darling
